Stereotactic Radiosurgery - Case
1

This is a 61-year-old woman who was
diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer.
Her lung tumor was treated with radiation
therapy, with good response. She had three brain metastases,
which were treated with standard whole brain radiation
therapy. Follow up MRI showed persistent disease in the
brain. The patient underwent single treatment in
the Gamma Knife® (7/20/02).
Currently, the patient is neurologically
intact. She has had no complications from her treatment
and has no evidence of disease in the body or brain.
Her latest MRI of the brain is normal.
