MUHAMMAD
M. KHAN, MD is a Board Certified Interventional
Physiatrist who specializes in Pain Management and Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Khan practices
interventional pain management, spine and musculoskeletal
medicine, electrodiagnostic medicine and general physiatry.
Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from Dow Medical
College, University of Karachi, Pakistan. He then moved
to the United States to do his internship in Medicine
at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Brooklyn, New
York.
He then completed a three year residency in Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation at State University of
New York Stony Brook. Dr. Khan subsequently performed
a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at New
York Medical College in Westchester.
Dr. Khan brings a wealth of training and experience
of physical medicine and rehabilitation to the practice.
He is a fellowship trained interventional pain management
physician. He is an expert in providing interventional
injection treatments for a variety of spinal and musculoskeletal
conditions in the form of epidural and other spine
injections, knee, hip, shoulder and other joints injections,
soft tissue and tendonitis injection. He also does
electrodiagnostic and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCS)
as tests for a variety of neurological problems.
Dr. Khan is double board certified as an Interventional
Physiatrist by the American Board of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation and in Pain Medicine by the American
Board of Medical Specialties. He is also a Fellow of
the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,
a member of the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports
and Occupational Rehabilitation, as well as International
Spine Intervention Society.
His main areas of interest are comprehensive care
and management of spine and musculoskeletal disorders
and injuries using multidisciplinary and interventional
approaches to restore maximum health and quality of
life.
